BUILDING OFF THE SUCCESSFUL FIRST SEASON OF UN- WHERE THE CAST FOUND AND CRAFTED THEIR OWN UNIQUE VOICE, SEASON 2 GOES DEEPER AND EXPLORES HOW TO SHARE THAT VOICE, AND FIND CONNECTION WITH OTHERS.
WHAT IS UN-?
UN- is an original, fully self-funded creation by Jacob Yarr, a New Zealand-born, Sydney-based choreographer.
Originally intended as a small, experimental production to explore a new theatrical medium with total creative freedom, UN- organically grew into something much larger—selling out two of its three premiere season shows.
UN- lives as an open-ended concept shaped entirely by the choreographer, cast, and audience. It can become UN-comfortable or UN-stoppable. It creates a canvas to explore an UN-limited range of ideas, and for that reason, remains UN-defined and open to interpretation.

THE CREATIVE PROCESS
UN- is an original work developed over an intensive 12-week creative process, with rehearsals held every Sunday. The program is designed as a collaborative environment that challenges each cast member to grow artistically, refine their technical skills, and deepen their performance quality.
Every piece is created organically through collaboration between Jacob and the cast, resulting in engaging and emotionally driven works that reflect both the individuality and movement style of the performers, while staying true to Jacob’s distinctive creative voice.

PRO
PRODIGY
The Prodigy cast (under 18) is designed for emerging dancers who show strong potential and passion. with a focus on performance and development opportunities, Prodigy members gain both stage and film experience while being supported in a fun, safe and inspiring environment that nurtures confidence, creativity and connection.
The Pro Cast (18+) is an elite group of professional level dancers committed to creating and performing an original, full-scale production at a professional standard. Throughout the process, cast members refine their technique, expand their performance quality, and build greater confidence in their artistry within a focused and collaborative environment.
